Is Network Marketing Legal?

Is Network Marketing Legal?

Scott Fashimpaur

Now, besides me just telling you the quick answer, let me expand upon this question. Of course the answer is yes it is legal. The reason people will give you that it is illegal, is that they will generalize and say it is a pyramid and all pyramids are illegal. Now, yes pyramids are illegal and I would not have anything to do with them. What is a pyramid? It is where someone starts up something and gets you to pay some money do to get involved. So you tell someone about all the money that you will make and you want to share it with them. Now this goes on and on and of course the person that starts it will always make money. Now, as you get into this "scheme", which is illegal, you are putting money in and you get a position to make money. There are no products. The sole and only reason why you get involved is to make money. Now, this is why people call network marketing a pyramid, is that sure you put in money to start a business, but legitimate companies, you make money on customer purchase of the product and not because you got started in the business. Now, lottery clubs and gifting programs are a form of this, because no one is actually a customer and there is no real products that generate the incomes.

So let me talk about facts anyone can learn about network marketing companies. The government her and in many companies regulate network marketing companies and they are part of the direct sellers association. You do not make money by someone signing up, you make it off of customer products. Yes, there are companies pretending to be network marketing companies, but fail to comply to the rules the governments set out. Some countries rules are stricter that others, in fact, China is probably one of the most strict to let people start a network marketing company with in their borders.

In order for someone to become a network marketing company, they must pay hefty fees to be part of the Direct Sellers Association. You can go to the direct seller association website if you want to find out if a company is what it says it is. Now as a company starts up, in the United States, each state regulates the industry through the attorney generals office. They make sure it complies to all laws.

People will think they are illegal when the start with the company, if they are not making the income that they feel they should, and often will tell everyone it is not, because they did not make the millions in 30 days. In network marketing, if they tell you that you will get rich quick and you do not need to do anything, then I will tell you that they are unethically promoting the business. Make sure you are educated on the business before you get started, then invest in yourself and one and only employee. Your education is a key and if you know the tricks that the leaders use, you will be highly successful. I talk to hundreds of people a day and yes you can be successful, but not with out proper training. There is not one company that provides you the training to be successful.

Three Roadblocks To Successful Affiliate Marketing

Posted on 2 October, 2013

Three Roadblocks to Successful Affiliate Marketing

With a recession breathing down everybody's neck, and threatening literally hundreds of thousands of jobs, there's never been a better time to work for one's self and earn a living online. There are, however, three major stumbling blocks to successful affiliate marketing that many people fall prey to.

Constantly trying the next big thing. This is perhaps the biggest mistake of the new affiliate marketer. There are a variety of ways to make money online, and they all look tempting (especially in their sales letters). Quite often, newbies who don't achieve immediate success in one niche or with one method are ready to try the next big thing in hopes that it works quicker.

Not to mention, being a budding marketer can be a lot like being a kid in a candy store--there are just so many good-looking ways to run an online business and so many great niches out there to mine for gold.

But it's important to pick a niche and a method and stay with it for a while before jumping to the next thing. Persistence will help your efforts take off.

Failing to maintain your efforts. Once you pick a niche or method to focus on, it's important to maintain your efforts in that niche or with that method. Putting up a niche site with good articles and some fine product links is just the beginning, yet many new internet marketers act like this is the "be all and end all" of internet marketing.

Once you get your new site up, you need to treat it much like a plant; it can largely grow on its own, if healthy, but it still needs water and sunlight every day. Water it by adding new content and blog posts. Give it sunlight by exposing it to the world and driving traffic with organic SEO, article marketing and web directory submission.

Maintaining your efforts will include testing what you're doing to see how well it works, tweaking it to see which one of your tweaks works best, testing that new tweak, and on and on. This keeps you constantly in motion, getting better all the time.

Giving up. This might seem like a big "duh," but many people give up right when they're about to really make it.

Sometimes, new affiliate marketers start seeing a steady trickle of sales come in almost off the bat. More often than not, however, successful affiliate marketing takes a little more than just that--it takes persistence and the courage to never give up.

It usually doesn't take an extraordinarily long time to make money online with an affiliate marketing website or other online business, but it usually doesn't happen instantly, either. The important thing to remember is to not lose heart. If you stay consistent in your efforts, and try something until you either learn to do it successfully or else learn everything you need to learn and apply it to your next effort, you are sure to eventually succeed!

Internet Marketing and Your Website

Owning a website is the best option in order to start your full blast marketing campaign. You can design it on your own to make it appealing to visitors and you can indicate, without any limitations, as many products as you like for your clients to see. To make it more worthwhile in your promotional activities, you can employ different marketing strategies in order to drive traffic in your site that will translate to the boost of your profits.

Needless to say, a website is very important for online marketers. It represents you in the web through the information that you provide your target market and it is your home where all your products and services can be found. Your clients, then, will never have a hard time searching for you in the net to buy your products.

A website, however, should also be promoted in order to be known in your niche. With the many strategies that you can use, you will be able to gain constant traffic in your site that will give you more chances of earning a great sale. In this article, I will give you some tips in order to drive this traffic necessary in the business.

Search engine optimization is one that you can use to increase your rank in the search engines. To increase your visibility in the search engines, use the right keywords and Meta tags in right doses. Thus, the more visible your link in the search engines, the more clients will visit your website and enjoy marketing your products.

Pay per click (PPC) will also help you to achieve this traffic. It is the placement of an advertisement in the search engines that will give you a wide range of visibility. You will not pay for the placement of the ads. You will only pay for every click that your visitors do in order to direct them in your page.

Article marketing is another way to promote your site online. You will just create an article that pertains to your niche and submit it to popular article directories. You just make sure, however, that the contents of your articles are valuable and useful for readers. With your contents, readers will be enticed to follow your link indicated at the bottom. This will drive them to your site and have a chance to earn money.

Another important thing to note is your creativity. Dull websites will never be appreciated by the visitors. They will just look at your website for less than one minute and search again for another online marketer. You have to select appropriate designs that will communicate with them to support your products and services. Use also words that will be compelling for your clients to dig more information inside your pages. Indicate also the discounts that they can get, money back guarantee, and toll free numbers that will be helpful in your online marketing campaign.

Offline Marketing Is Dead - Has Offline Marketing Been Forgotten By Network Marketers?

Offline Marketing Is Dead - Has Offline Marketing Been Forgotten by Network Marketers?

Have traditional sales strategies (i.e., offline marketing) become a thing of the past or re-emerging as still a time-tested and sure way of promoting your network marketing business? With so many network marketers turning to internet marketing, it seems like some people don't remember or even know what offline marketing is any more. Let's take a look at the meaning and how it can be applied to our modern day.

So, what is offline marketing? It is the opposite of online marketing and includes all other forms of selling a business without the use of the internet. For most businesses, offline marketing promotes products or the company by advertising through television, radio, billboards, magazines, and the like. Traditional marketing for a network marketer, however, includes doing home/hotel meetings, calling friends and family (your "warm market"), prospecting at public places like the mall, and other savvy methods to peak interest of prospects.

Offline marketing can be used in two different ways:

1. Using postcards, drop cards, business cards, etc. to capture someone's attention, then getting them to contact you by phone and/or directing them to your website to get them to buy something, watch a video, or sign up to receive a free report/newsletter/ebook.

OR

2. Providing various online services (such as creating landing pages, email capture forms, video marketing, SEO services, etc.) to local businesses or individuals by using offline marketing tactics, such as cold calling, Craigslist, even pounding the pavement.

We could discuss the above further to figure out who to sell to, where, when, how, and why, but I just want you to ask yourself two basic questions:

1. Who is your target market? 2. What are you selling to them?

If you can clearly define these two parameters, it will help you focus your marketing efforts, whether online or offline.

While it seems like just about everything is available online these days, the truth of the matter is there's just as much money to be made offline, using traditional marketing methods that have worked for decades. This is in spite of recent claims by online marketing gurus that traditional network marketing methods are dead and the best way to succeed in business is by branding yourself online.

This is true to an extent, but you may find that the online market nowadays is so saturated by everyone and their grandmother promoting themselves as experts. You may even find it so overwhelming to market online that you might be surprised that there is less competition offline.

Affiliate Business Internet Marketing Online Promotion

Affiliate Business Internet Marketing Online Promotion

Matthew E Peterson

Affiliate business internet marketing online promotion is being used these days to put a lot of money into the bank accounts of those who have chosen this as a way of life. If you are like most, this terminology seems foreign to you. I will try and explain what it is as well as its effective role in driving the incomes for many.

Affiliate marketing is simply the sale of a product or service in which you are already using as a way to earn additional income. It is often times the business you get in addition to the purchase of a product you desire. Some people choose to pursue this aggressively and make money, some don't care for it at all and simply use the product, and some are passionate about the product and might earn some nice side income.

In the world of internet marketing, online promotion is critical. This allows for traffic which eventually results in whether or not one will be successful. Marketing online is the engine for the affiliate business owner and most internet marketing programs have this component to them. When you are searching on Google for ways to make money from home, the chances are that most all of the results are some form affiliate advertising.

This is no doubt the most cost effective and simplistic way to earn an income from home. The difficulty comes in finding the right business to align yourself with and even more importantly the individuals you would be working with. Online income is not rocket science but it does have a learning curve and for those that move through this point complete freedom of time and limitless income are the rewards.

Health Insurance Marketing

Posted on 6 November, 2013

Health Insurance Marketing

Of all types of insurance, health insurance is the most controversial because of the conflict between the insurance company's need to remain afloat and the customer's need to have insurance. Insurance companies' commissions on health plans are very low, thus some companies struggle to make a profit. It used to be that the premiums paid by younger, healthy clients were low compared to those paid by elderly clients. The reason for this was so that the insurance company could sustain the output in claims of the elderly clients. However, these days, the premiums are the same for a completely healthy young adult as they are for an elderly man who just had by-pass surgery.

Since we are already dealing with this kind of scenario, what we can do now is change the public's perception of it. Connect yourself with companies whose employees need a health plan. Go to crowded areas and advertise. Give out flyers and hang banners. Offer free medical check ups upon signing up. Give the public a chance to like you and the insurance company you are representing. If you've done this already, sustain the relationship.

Listen to what people have to say. Once common complaint is that insurance companies do not announce that they have increased the rates of their insurance premiums. This defeats the purpose of giving that extra service to the customers. Inform them in advance and let them know why there is a need for an increase.

Do not charge people different rates. This gives them the feeling that they are being fairly untreated and that the insurance companies are just after the profit and not the welfare of its customers.

When a claim is made, particularly for a very sizeable amount, help out in processing the paperwork. Do not let bureaucracy eat up the service so that the one making the claim will just eventually give up. This used to be a common practice in the insurance business and should never be repeated.

And lastly, try to help out those self-employed individuals who are applying for health insurance. Complaints about not being able to accommodate the self-employed are common because health insurance companies are too busy accommodating those employer-sponsored clients. Remember, those self-employed individuals may eventually strike it big. Or maybe they are already big and are just fishing for an efficient health insurance company.

Local Internet Marketing Benefits

Local Internet Marketing Benefits

Mirjana Stojiljkovic

Most people don't realize what local internet marketing is, so they don't know of local internet marketing benefits. According to SEO glossary the definition is: "Internet marketing geo-targeted through directories, Google maps, and social networking sites." In other words LI marketing is marketing a local business to your local community using internet. With that being said you can glimpse the local internet marketing benefits, but let's go over them just in case.

The first of local internet marketing benefits is in fact the purpose of LI marketing, getting targeted traffic that converts. Let's use an example, if you own a shop in Minnesota and a website about your shop in Minnesota, what will you benefit if you target Washington? To get your business off the ground and visitors to your site you need to target visitors from Minnesota, and the greatest part is that it is much easier to optimize a site and get targeted traffic for local websites than for global ones, makes sense.

The three top LI marketing benefits are:

- Low cost - Easier to market - Targeted market that easily converts

We already covered one of the LI marketing benefits, targeted traffic that converts; let's go onto the next one, low cost. The reason for a lower cost is the fact that it is easier to market and as such it involves less work for SEO companies, fewer work hours and an overall easier SEO and SEM campaigns.

The part about being easier to market should be obvious, there are fewer searches and less competition for a keyword that says "Los Angeles Website Design" than for "Website Design". The difference would be by three numbers at least, instead of millions of searches there will be thousands, which is much easier to optimize and rank for, thus making this the greatest of local internet marketing benefits.

Since it will cost you less, you will get the targeted traffic that converts and you will get it fast, the easy part, you can consider these local internet marketing benefits to be of great value to any business. To make sure that you get all of these LI marketing benefits you must make sure that the SEO company running your campaign does the following:

- Get your website listed in local search engines. It is good for local searches performed, they equal highly targeted organic traffic and higher conversion rates and plus the major search engines depend on local search engines to feed their index. - Make sure that your website and your business are connected with others on local level through social media sites like Twitter, Facebook and Stumble Upon. - Perform an email marketing campaign on a local level.

These are some of the local internet marketing benefits, but just these are so great that they shouldn't be overlooked if you have a local business that you want to promote. This is one of the greatest ways to quickly increase your organic traffic, and not just any traffic, but targeted traffic.

Optometric Marketing: Is Treasure Hidden In Your Practice?

Optometric Marketing: Is Treasure Hidden in Your Practice?

64

Maybe you have been in business for several years. During that time, you have built a wonderful relationship with your patients. Maybe you've been losing business to local competitors. If you're concerned about increasing your patient base, maybe it's time to consider optometric marketing.?

As healthcare reimbursements from insurance companies go down, costs continue to rise. You have to redo your business strategies. Although a lot of healthcare practitioners leave advertising campaigns out of their plans, your business can beat your competition by implementing an optometric marketing plan.?

When you hear the word ?marketing,? do you think of high-cost radio and television spots? All these are effective means of getting the word out about your business, but there are simpler plans. The best part is that they are less expensive than radio and television.?

Your biggest treasure is what you already have. Current patients make up a large part of an effective marketing strategy. If you're not doing this already, make sure that you have enough doctors on staff to treat your patients properly. In addition to that, you need to have enough administrative staff and opticians. Make sure that the patients have an experience that makes them want to come back.?

Once you have worked out strategies to ensure your current patients have a great experience, ask them to refer people they know to your practice. If you're like most medical professionals, you do not want to seem pushy to your patients. This is a big mistake. Satisfied customers refer other people. Ask your patient if they had a good experience. If they say yes and seem genuine, let them know that you're in the business of providing top-level care to everyone. Then ask them for the referral. Hand them a few business cards to make it easy for them. This strategy is not pushy, and it is very effective. And make it a system.?

Patients continue to visit practitioners that they like. They also refer friends and family to practitioners who care. You can show your patients that you care by keeping in contact with them after their visits. While they are in office, make sure that your staff asked them if they would like a free copy of your newsletter. Your staff will then send an introductory e-mail with an option to opt out. Now it is up to you to produce the newsletter.?

Optometric marketing is only as good as the practice doing the marketing. You can have the best marketing campaign around, but fail if your employees are not on board. Make sure that your employees are friendly and caring about your patients. Customer service should be their top priority. The following article provides a little more about information about optometric marketing.

Most doctors use less than 20% of the potential of their website for gaining new patients. A great looking website is only one part of getting patients from the internet. Are you getting as many patients as you can from yours? You may find the free expert guide, '7 Mistakes Doctors Make When Getting Their Website Done', a valuable resource.

Facebook Marketing In The World Of Digital Online Marketing

Posted on 5 November, 2013

Facebook Marketing in the World of Digital Online Marketing

Facebook is one of the largest networking sites in the entire world. It allows more than one billion people world wide to connect with each other, play games, and "like" businesses and organisations that they frequent or carry products that they often buy. It is a connection that more businesses are starting to use to market themselves to a larger group of people with less advertising work.

The biggest benefit of Facebook marketing to companies is the wide availability of advertising to people that is not their target group. For instance, if someone views your page on Facebook, your page will be linked with his or her Facebook page.

Everyone on his or her friends list will see that link under his or her "recently viewed" sidebar. If it is a page that they frequent often, perhaps for coupons, advertisements, or to make comments then the page will be suggested to everyone on their friends list. This gives you the potential to gain upwards of twenty-five potential new clients with each person that visits your page. It is the quickest way to market yourself with the least amount of work. Because you can share one page with so many people at once, it is essential that you keep all your information, advertisements and other important facts up-to-date so that people will continue to go to your Facebook page.

If you sell a specific product, linking to their page as not only a business contact but as a friend will also open up more potential clients looking for that product. One of the best ways to generate more traffic to your Facebook page is to offer special discounts and coupons to those that become your friend or "like" you on Facebook. Often times, people will join just because of the potential savings, or inside information that they can gain from doing so.

Once they become your friend or start "liking" your page, every time your company makes a post, it will show up in their news and most recent feeds, this means that you now have content posted on their page as well as your own. Because more people have the internet than the television or even radio, Facebook is a sensible option for advertising because you will reach more people than you would otherwise. So many people are addicted to their computers, with a good internet connection, they can use it as a newspaper, television and radio- therefore, it makes logical sense to advertise on a marketing platform that almost every one uses.

Marketing Consulting - How To Set Your Rates As A Marketing Consultant

Posted on 6 January, 2013

Marketing Consulting - How to Set Your Rates As a Marketing Consultant

John J Gosselin

There are several hoops to jump through in becoming a marketing consultant. One ever-expanding hoop is of course is how to set your rates? This can be tricky, so use guidelines because with rates too expensive, you may price yourself out of the market and with no packaged rates at all, good luck trying to "reel in" sales.

Truth be told, this was one of our largest hurdles to jump over when setting out on our journey as being a professional online marketing consulting firm. In fact, how to set your rates as a marketing consultant should be the very last thing you actually solidify in your marketing plan before you set out to prospect customers.

The reason why is because without experience, you just don't know how good what you have to offer really is until you give it a shot! Sometimes you'll be successful and sometimes you won't - isn't that what being an entrepreneur is all about?

If I was to provide you with a blanket answer that would not be fair because what you charge clients for services really depends. We were throwing out quotes to prospective clients that were front-end loaded into the thousands in the beginning and getting totally frustrated at all of the NO'S we were getting.

This is when we realized the power of providing an a la carte menu of services, as well as a packaged rate for our services. When designing your sales and marketing funnel, I would suggest starting at the end first.

Beginning with the end in mind allows you to best know EXACTLY what your clients will be receiving from you. Once you know what you'll be supplying them, it's easy to be more revealing and honest on the front-end of your exchanges.

On the a la carte menu, have some ballpark numbers to work with so that you provide both you and your clients the flexibility to create a nice mixture of back and forth correspondence until you agree to the most ideal arrangement.

Most offline business owners know two things about online marketing. First, most are happy to admit know nothing about websites, HTML coding, auto-responder email marketing, QR codes, Facebook, Twitter and who knows what else. All they really want is to be more findable online and make more money.

They are also not very shy about letting you know their prior experience with other online consultants or online marketing services; most services haven't provided favorable results in the past and they can't express candidly enough that you'll be swimming up-stream just to get the chance to prove to them that you can help improve and better their bottom line. They'll open up if you stay with it.

So my best answer in helping you understand how to set your rates as a marketing consultant is to work off a baseline grid and attempt to package your suite of services into one, all-inclusive monthly cost.

One final tip is that many times, a client is much more receptive to rolling their set-up costs into their monthly cost if you are willing to amortize it over the course of the year agreement you make.

If they have the cash and are willing to pay, don't offer them the option to pay it throughout the year and put them on a month-to-month, client at will basis.

Sports Marketing

Sports marketing is popular in developed countries and it is gaining popularity in developing countries. Even fast moving consumer goods like, soft drinks and beverage products are very aggressive in sports marketing globally, whereas, telecommunication companies are very aggressive in sports marketing at national level. Health related products like innovative technology equipments to loose weight and stay fit, and dairy products like goat milk and vitamins supplements are also very active in sports sponsorship and marketing.

The commercial success and acceptance of sports marketing have made it popular in the Western countries and marketing can be in any form of media, like sponsorship in sports events, commercials on television, magazines, social media, placing advertisements in sports pages in newspapers and many more.

Marketers and advertisers see sports marketing and sponsorship a trend and a vital tool to reach consumers these days. In America , there are academics that provide professional certification program in sports marketing and associations set up to promote sports marketing, like Sport Marketing Association (SMA), founded in Columbia.

For marketers in sponsorship in sports marketing, their first priority is getting the exposure as it can assist in promoting the brand. Companies can get an association with something that is good with the investment in sports marketing as sports are where miracle happens and are full of happiness. In addition, marketers will get positive brand experiences and this might assist them to increase their sales. Brand differentiation is another important factor that governs the effectiveness of sports marketing as marketers can open up a new avenue of advertising that will set them apart from their competitors. Of course, marketers can also invest in sports marketing by creating interesting game events.

However, being clear about the Company's objective is essential when marketers are going for sports marketing and sponsorship. Objectives can include targeting the mass market or raising the brand's profile. Some people might have a misconception that the target market for sports marketing is mostly men. I wish to correct it by saying that it caters to women as well. An example is ESPN sports where around 45 per cent viewers are women. Overall the current global economic crisis impact on sports marketing is still positive and also very much depends on the sport.

Online B2C Marketing Secrets Revealed

Rob Fore

What is B2C marketing? Business to consumer marketing is when a business markets products to a consumer market not to another business (B2B).

Marketing is marketing whichever way it is done - well that's what most people think but, business to business and business to consumer marketing are two entirely different ways of marketing, and must both be approached with different criteria. B2C is all about building relationships directly with consumers.

B2B describes the commercial transactions between businesses, such as those between a manufacturer and a wholesaler, or those between a wholesaler and a retailer, where generally the total volume of transacted business is large.

Business to consumer marketing is when a business offers its products directly to the consumer market and where the consumer is the end user. Those products include clothing, electronics and food etc.

B2C Marketing - Targeting Your Market

The first step in either of these marketing situations is by identifying the customer, but from there on, the approaches become different.

The goal of business to consumer marketing is to convert potential purchasers into buyers as effectively and consistently as possible. To this end many means can be employed: coupons, promotional activities, special offers and sales and by employing strategic product placement within stores, if B2C is not employed on an internet marketing platform. Transaction time is short and it is essential to capture a prospective purchaser's attention immediately, before he or she moves on.

The goal of B2B marketing is of course also to convert prospective clients into purchasers, but generally the process is longer, especially where capital equipment and high-end durables are concerned.

Offline B2B involves a lot more face-to-face relationship-building and marketing activities that can generate leads are often utilized during the B2B sales process.

Online B2C Marketing Systems

Business to consumer marketing is often product or brand driven, and very often purchases are made on impulse and there are a number of tactics involved in enticing a prospective purchaser to buy, especially online where competition is far more plentiful. Offline there is a constant ongoing battle between supermarkets and retailers, who are vying for cost-conscious purchasers, again coupons and in-store displays and advertising have to be used as enticements.

The majority of business conducted on the internet is run on a B2C basis; even informational websites that are not actually selling or promoting products will have advertising such as Google AdWords or affiliate links to relevant products, in the hope that they can make a few dollars to cover expenses.

Large well known websites such as Amazon.com have no need to employ any other types of advertising on their sites, but if you are a small website you are probably thinking about using some form of advertising on your site. This can be paid advertising through pay-per-click, affiliate advertising or you can rent space to other companies who can place their banner ads on your site, either on a paid basis, or through swaps. However you choose to employ B2C advertising, it is a good idea to keep an eye on stats, to see how effective those ads are, and to change them out as soon as you see they are not working.

How To Estimate Your Marketing Costs

Posted on 7 November, 2012

How to Estimate Your Marketing Costs

One way to calculate your marketing and promotional costs is to hire an agency, for example a brochure printer, to represent your brand image. They should be the one to provide you a package for your promotional needs.

Another way to compute for your marketing costs is to do it yourself. This option needs you to research different types of printing brochures for example and then you can calculate the price from there.

Nevertheless, regardless of how you do it, how to estimate your marketing costs when printing brochures for example depends on how you shop for the most appropriate brands of services for your particular requirements.

When you are looking at a fair number of promotional needs, you might be interested in computing for your costs separately. For newspaper and magazine ads, your advertising costs are computed based on how many columns are needed to carry your ad.

In addition, remember to include different rates for color and black-and-white ads, as well as the fonts, lines of text, pictures and other elements found in your ad. These elements contribute to the varying total costs for your marketing campaign. Expect to pay more if you have more elements integrated in your advertisement.

When it is online marketing, you can look for banner ads to promote your products and services. Most banner ads are computed based on what their size would be and how interactive they are. There is also the pay-per-click banner ad that allows browsers to click on your marketing campaign that is strategically placed on a banner ad.

How this works is that the pay-per-click advertisements start with a monthly budget that is based on the expected number of visitors to the banner ad. As each visitor clicks on your ad, a portion of your budget is used. The advantage of this kind of advertising tool is that you can strategically position your ad that allows you to drive traffic to your website.

On the other hand, television commercials can be very costly depending on the time slot your ad is on. For a 30-second commercial in the prime time slot, you can pay as much as a hundred thousand dollars. However, the benefit to this kind of advertising route is that you are assured that millions of customers will view your commercial in a particular time slot. Just imagine the number of viewership that the television industry has accumulated over the years.

Finally, there are the radio commercials. You can calculate your costs by looking at how many impressions you get in a time slot, as well as the frequency that your ad is played on the airwaves.

The Home Improvement Marketing Plan

The Home Improvement Marketing Plan

Dave Yoho

Marketing in this industry means finding ways to get people to respond, creating opportunities to make presentations and ultimately to sell a fair percentage of the respondents. A large successful home improvement company is usually a "lead factory".

Leads, from advertising and those self-developed through canvassing or referrals are the lifeblood of a business. The successful home improvement retailer uses a variety of methods to consistently keep the lead pipeline full. The plan to do so is frequently regulated by the territory, economy, average contract size, the weather and even the news of the day. The marketing plan includes a budget. How much will be spent and where. It also includes projections to ensure sufficient leads to provide prospects for the salespeople. A key is the number of leads which are necessary to produce net good business. In a plan where the salesman sells a minimum of 2 contracts per week averaging 3 presentations to 1 sale and where there is a 30% of fall off from leads issued to actual presentations, the plan calls for 9 to 10 leads per salesperson per week. Since an issued lead many cost from $250 to $300, remaining within budget may require salespeople to self generate a percentage of their own leads.

How do you know the plan is working? Each week measure the number of leads which have been generated, those which are confirmed, presented to and sold, less those which cancel or are credit rejected. When some aspect of the plan is not working, adjust rapidly - eliminate low producing methods, reduce regularity, intensify methods to produce less costly leads (canvass, referral plan). Unsold leads or those not receiving presentations, have to be rehashed. Experimentation with new methods of lead getting requires concentration and control.

Ultimately, the measure of a successful marketing plan is the amount of net business (ready for installation) you have sold, measured against the cost of procuring the leads to sell that volume of business. If the cost of your marketing program when measured against this net business exceeds your budget - then the plan needs modification.

Donald Trump Recommends Network Marketing

Aaron Loh

If billionaire Mr Donald Trump recommends network marketing business to you, what would you say? In awe? Well, I would take that as a yes from you.

According to Donald Trump, "Marketing is a powerful tool, and network marketing can increase that power, provided you are self-motivated. In a simple visual, see a product and then remove the advertising agency from it. It is up to you to do the marketing and advertising."

Is this is true, will that signals the dooms day of traditional advertising agency is coming? Well not really. This option is still the preferred method for traditional businesses, despite the high cost. The media of today has made significant progress by leveraging on new technologies.

Now let's get back to our topic. Donald Trump mentioned some important qualities which you must have if you want to start this business.

1. Passion Whatever activities that we involved in, we must have a certain level of passion. Why would you buy a particular car? Why would you go on date with someone? Why would you burn midnight oil to complete a difficult project? It all boils down to passion, which must be strong enough to get you going.

2. Self-motivation Self-motivation comes from internal, in other words, your inner self. I do agree that external motivation does help but eventually it is your self-motivation that will pull you through.

3. Entrepreneurial spirit To have high entrepreneurial spirit simply means to have focus and perseverance. There is no such thing as successful business but successful entrepreneur. It is the person that is running the business. To build a business requires lots of time. So you have to have lots of patience and persevere. If you identify that these qualities are lacking, get lots of trainings from your network marketing company. Most companies have good training system to mold you into a successful businessman.

4. Sociable If you dislike socializing, then this business model is not suitable for you. In fact you shouldn't start any form of businesses. In business, you need to deal with people. You got to go out there and talk, present, train and negotiate with people.

5. Break your comfort zone All sorts of resources and help will not do you good if you get too comfortable with your current lifestyle. Increasing your comfort zone means expanding your scope of learning. The more right skills that you learned the better you became.

At the beginning, you may find a lot of resistance doing network marketing business. If you persevered, maintain your momentum, undergo good training programs and do what it takes to be good at what you do, success will come to you.

Why Network Marketing?

Why Network Marketing?

William Carolan

Network marketing is becoming the norm as generation X and the baby boomers brace themselves and their future on this industry. If you have any misconceptions about this industry, you really need to get the right information to make a better decision.

Let me start with a German Philosopher named Arthur Shopenhauer. He said; "All Opportunity or (truth) passes through three stages. First, it is ridiculed. Second, it is violently opposed. Third, it is accepted as being self-evident."

In the late 20's department stores were laughed at, people said who would want to go to one store to by everything, they would rather go to different stores. A few years later dept stores became illegal. After due time they became self evident. Ridiculed, violently opposed, self-evident.

In the 50's people ridiculed franchises, they came within 11 votes of congress of being a pyramid scheme.Sixty years later they remain self-evident.

In the 70's you had companies like Amway, Avon, Tupperware and so on. Yes we did laugh at these opportunities and said things like oh you have get in in the beginning, Its a hoax la-de-da. This industry had to go through its growing pains as millions of people gathered up there family and friends to see the new deal. Being poorly trained and uninformed on how to build teams of people through relationships and not recruit, recruit, recruit. This left a bad taste in peoples mouth's and they just wanted you to go away.

Today this industry is self-evident as generation x conquers the the world wide web and the baby boomers near retirement, find themselves looking at ways of passive income. MLM is an awakening giant that offers people a lucrative way to make a part time income or for those who are serious can create a fortune for future generations.
